Hard Core. Designed for military applications, M855 features a copper-jacketed steel point and lead core. The steel point prevents deformation allowing the round to penetrate deeper before fragmentation or tumbling occurs. 300 rounds per box.
M855 is often called “green tip” ammo. The tip of the projectile is marked green to denote a steel “penetrator” in the lead core. This type of ammo is often prohibited for use at indoor shooting ranges.
